Abstract
Midwifery provided cares can significantly reduce complications, and high quality of care in the labor room are needed to satisfy health care takers. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the satisfaction of mothers hospitalized in the delivery ward from provided health services in Urmia Shahid Motahari hospital. Material & Methods: This cross-sectional study implemented on 165 women hospitalized in Motahari delivery ward, who were randomly selected. The first part of the questionnaire is related to the demographic information, and the second section included 5 sections of the physicians' satisfaction, midwives, environment services, transfer to ward services, and services that provided by Midwifery ward personnel. The data were analyzed by SPSS-16. Result: The mean age of participants was 24.12±6.53years, most of the participants (52.1%) were under diploma, and 51.5% were emergency hospitalized patients, and 50.3% were nulliparous. Client's satisfaction of services provided by physicians was 69.7%, midwives 77%, environmental services 54.5%, and transfer to ward 78.2%. Survey of individual and social information in relationship with satisfaction chi-square tests showed a significant relationship between the degree of satisfaction from the hospital environment services with duration of hospitalization and education (p-value<0.005). Conclusion: Client's satisfaction of services provided by physicians, midwives and transfer services was good, but in the postpartum period, the satisfaction level was medium that requires further investigation and intervention
