Abstract

Promotion and development of organizations and institutes depends on the development of knowledge, skill, behavior, and human source attitude. According to this, most of organizations hold training programs for their personnel, so the performance of each program needs attention. The principle goal of this research was to enhance the quantity and quality of professional training programs, and finally to increase the effectiveness of this programs. Materials & Methods: This study was a descriptive study. The research population was the nurses working in Tabriz Social Security Organization Hospitals namely Professor Alinasab, and 29th Bahman hospitals. The mixed research method (qualitative and quantities) was chosen to carry out the study. A questionnaire was used to do the study, the validity of which has been confirmed by preexamination. In order to complete and correct the result of questionnaire, the researcher used interview method to ensure the result of research. Results: The result of research showed that because of the lack of correct need assessment, there is no correct correspondence of the programs with the needs of the nurses, which in turn decreases the effectiveness of the programs. Conclusion: Whenever the programs were matched with the needs of the nurses, its effectiveness has increased as well
