Abstract

Training and exercise treatment is the major recommended procedure for low back pain that has improvable impact on performance enhancement. This research aimed to survey on treatment modality and selected exercise training effects on chronic mechanical backache in women. Materials & Methods: 30 women having chronic mechanical backache aged 30-55 were selected as subjects and were divided into three ten people groups as below: 1-Physical modality treatment group. 2- Selected exercises treatment group. 3- Joint treatment group (selected exercises and physical modality). Patients were treated for three weeks in 15 sessions. Data were assessed Visual Aanlogue Scale (VAS) and disability questionnaire to perform routine works before and after treatment and analyzed with paired t-test and ANOVA with SPSS software. Result: All three treatment methods diminish the pain and enhance the performance of individuals, but the treatment method in group-3 (joint treatment group) had the most significant effects on back pain treatment when compared with the other groups (p<0.05). Conclusion: Based on data results it seems that physical modalities accompanied by exercise training method has more efficiency in diminishing chronic low back pain in women
