The sampling method was a full-scale study of all patients from birth to one month of age with a diagnosis of underlying diseases and various causes of death. SPSS software was used to analyse the data and the results were presented descriptively. Results: The results indicated that 53% of the cases were male and 47% were female and the highest mortality rate were in the age group of 1-10 days (63%) and 10 days to 1 month (31%). Highest mortality rate of infants in the NICU were due to pulmonary diseases (32.64%), coronary heart disease (23.72%), central nervous system diseases (9.62%), respectively.
