Abstract

According to the results of different studies there is a relationship between some personality characteristics illustrated by self esteem, social responsibility, impulse control, aggression, and different parenting styles. Patterns of k indness‑ firmness improve self‑esteem, social responsibility independency and self actualization. These characters affect mental health. Methods & Material: 30 counselors of six girl high schools were trained then the counselors covered 3400 students in six high schools. Students' knowledge about parenting styles was evaluated before and after training statistically. Results: Results demonstrated that students' knowledge about parenting styles significantly increased at the end of the training period. Discussion: The results confirmed benefital effects of education. We hope that results of this study affect practically the parenting styles of students in future
