Abstract
The future of every society depends on its children. Today, parents (especially mothers) must challenge for their care, training, and socialization. Parents most be trained about parental training, psychology and other sciences because knowledge of parents has significant influences in child's life. The present study is done on women in order to promote health and cultural opinion about training and discipline of children in two ways of health education.
Methods & Materials: This study is a semi experimental study (before‑after education), and was done on 180 women. The data was gathered by a questionnaire and interview with mothers. Questionnaire included two parts. The first part presented demographic characters and the second part included questions about goals of study.
Results: The results showed that the majority of women were between (30‑39 yr), 31% high school graduated, 91% hcusewives, 33.7% had two children, 65% parents had knowledge about parental training and discipline and 52% had a previous education about it. The compassion of two ways of health education (booklet and congress) showed both type of education had same results (p>0.05).
Discussion: Findings showed both methods of education were effective on mothers' knowledge. In order to improve mother's knowledge consequently the health of their children, all the health centers should apply our findings.
