Abstract

One of the effective components in organizations is the ethics of the employees of the same organization. In the nursing profession, more ethical work is needed, the quality of professional life is the response of the employees to their work, and especially the individual results in work and mental health of the staff. Promoting the quality of work life of personnel and nurses is one of the important factors for ensuring system stability. Hygiene has been introduced. In this regard, this study aimed to investigate the relationship between the quality of professional life and the work ethics of nurses working in the neonatal intensive care units of the hospitals affiliated to Uromia University of Medical Sciences. Materials & Methods: This study was a descriptive study using correlation and cross sectional methods. Be on 131 nurses working in Neonatal intensive care units in hospitals affiliated to West Azarbaijan University of Medical Sciences in 2012 were selected using purposeful sampling. Data collection method, three demographic questionnaires, Walton professional quality of life, and Gregorian work ethic were used. SPSS software version 19 was used to analyze the data. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, inferential statistics. Results: The results of this study indicated that the quality of professional life and the quality of nurses working in nurses responsible for neonatal intensive care units in hospitals affiliated to the West Azerbaijan University of Medical Sciences are in a favorable situation and between quality of professional life and ethics there is a positive and meaningful relationship. Conclusion: It can be concluded from the findings of the research that improving the quality of professional life of nurses will promote the development of work. The results of this study can be used as a guide for hospital managers and nursing staff and nurses.
