Abstract

The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of structural couple
therapy and couple therapy by re-decision method on reducing marital boredom of infertile couples in
Sanandaj.
Materials & Methods: To implement this goal, pre-test and post-test research methods were used using
two experimental groups and a control group. The statistical population of this study was infertile
couples referring to the infertility center of Besat Hospital in Sanandaj in 2018 who were selected using
available sampling method and randomly placed in three groups of 12 people. Marital boredom
questionnaire was used to collect data. Data were analyzed using one-variable analysis of covariance
and SPSS-22 software.
Results: The results showed that structural couple therapy and couple therapy by decision-making
method compared to the control group had a significant effect on reducing marital boredom of infertile
couples (p≤0.001).
Conclusion: The results showed the importance of paying attention to structural couple therapy
interventions and couple therapy through re-decision-making in reducing marital boredom of infertile
couples
