Abstract

Asthma is a common disease that attract many attention and is a problem in the world, inspire of progress in new drugs and medical methods development. Methods & material: The study was carried out on 20 Asthmatic patients in internal ward in Imarn Khomeini hospital in Uremia. Before education, knowledge, attitude and practice of patient about disease, its symptoms complications and the correct usage methods of drugs were measured and in the next day after education about them, they were measured, too. Results: 30% of patient were female and the rest were male. Mean of illness duration was 6.44 years and mean of hospitalization was 2.7 days. 50% of patients were education by doctors. There was a statistically significant difference between before and after education in mean of knowledge , attitude and practice of patients. (P<00.5) Discution: Face to face and practically education was Confirmed for promotion of knowledge, attitude and practice and change of behavior in asthmatic patients and decreased drug complications and duration of hospitalisation and illness duration in them
