only in the last half century have these theories been empirically tested. The purpose of this study was
to compare hardiness in different level of religiosity.
Materials & Methods: In this study 100 nurses (41 male and 59 female) were selected with cluster
sampling from nurses in Urmia. Gholzary religiosity scale and Kobasa hardiness scales were
administrated to them. The samples were divided into high, moderate and low group on the basis of
religiosity degree and were compared in hardiness degree with each other. Data analysis was done
using analysis of variance.
Result: The result showed that there is a significant difference among level of religiosity and
hardiness. People with high level of religiosity have high level of hardiness compared to those with
low and moderate religiosity.
