Abstract
The correct planning of a educational university process, requires the knowledge of
students motivation , aspirations and socio- cultural profile . The aim of this study is to describe the
students of university torbat heidaryyeh recently enrolled during the academic year 2002-2005
focusing on the motivations of their choice on the university course.
Methods and materials: The data were collected by a questionnaire on the different questions. Results
the study investigated 75 nursing students.
Result: Averaging 18 years. Mean high school degree score was 16.95 and 80.7% of student are
native. The choice of the course was principally due to: humanitarian reasons (82%) scientific interest
(36.4%) social consideration (9.1%). The choose of course of study was in fluenced by: parent's
suggestion (70.5%) advertisement in the high school (34.1%) education in sanitary experiences
(22.7%).
Conclusion: Many causes effect to decrease student motivation. It seems that the changes of many
causes were difficult but they can promote quality of education in student
