Abstract
Human resources are considered as the backbone of any health system, and the
existence of desired quality of work life in health care organizations is a very important factor for the
maintenance of skilled, motivated, and quality employees. Therefore, the present study aimed at
predicting nurses' quality of work life through organizational justice and its dimensions.
Materials & Methods: This research was a descriptive study. All nurses of Shiraz hospitals in 2016
constituted the statistical population of this study. The research sample consisted of 192 nurses who
were selected by multi-stage random sampling method. After sample selection, Organizational Justice
Questionnaire and Walton's Quality of Work Life Questionnaire (1973) were distributed among nurses.
Data analysis was performed using Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis.
Results: The results showed that quality of life had a significant positive relationship with all dimensions
of organizational justice, including distributive justice (r = 0.71), procedural justice (r = 0.31) and
interactional justice (r=0.24). Moreover, from among the dimensions of organizational justice,
distributive justice explained 50% of the changes in nurses' quality of life.
Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate the impact of organizational distributive justice on
nurses' quality of work life. Therefore, hospital authorities are recommended to provide conditions for
the institutionalization of organization justice, especially distributive justice in hospitals
