Abstract

normal sexual function during pregnancy is one of the important points in marital
development. Therefore, this study was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of sexual function
education on the increase in couple’s satisfaction during pregnancy.
Materials & Methods: In this experimental study (quasi-experimental) 40 pregnant women by random
method, observing the criteria for entry and exit, and confirming the minimum age of pregnancy of 10,
and maximum 15 weeks of pregnancy, entered into the ultrasound was entered into the study. Then
assigned to control and test group. After assessed sexual function questionnaire, FSFI and ASEX
(experiences and sexual satisfaction) curriculum include anatomy, physiology, how sexually active
couples with the experimental group was implemented. Assessment of one month and two months later
(three courses) with the same questionnaire was done.to analyze the results of the present study, analysis
of variance, T-test, and repeated measure were used.
Results: The average sexual function before treatment were not significantly different in the two groups,
the initial assessment after training, sexual satisfaction scores in the experimental group than the control
group,significantly statistically In evaluating FSFI domains of satisfaction problem, arousal, humidity
and libido in the intervention group than the control group, the difference was significant. But ASEX
this difference was not significant.
Conclusion: The study suggests that sexual function education is effective in increasing sexual
satisfaction during pregnancy
