Abstract

Hemodialysis patients are faced with several stressors such as physical, mental and
social stressor and their quality of life that affected with these factors so that their life style, family
situation, jop and social situation will change and they don't hope to their future. The main problem in
these patients that make their quality of life more complication is coping strategies and there reaction
are different from complete ability regain to suicid. This research has done for, determining quality of
life, stressor factors and coping strategies in hemodialysis patients in Ramsar and Tonekabon hospital
in 1385.
Materials and Methods: This research is a descriptive-cross sectional study. The community of
research included all hemodialysis patients Ramsar and Tonekabon hospital. This research had done
on 42 patientsin. The data gathering instrucment consisted of a four-parts 1.demographic
characteristics 2.questionnaires related to quality of life 3. Questionnaire of stressor factors and coping
qoestionaire. Descriptive-analytical statistics (Independent T-test,analysis variance and chi-squar)were
used.
Results: Findings show that most of the samples were women (61.9%), between 57-67 years old
(27.6%), illetrate (59.5%), unable to pay expenditure of life (47.6%) and have dialysis history for 1
years(33.3%). In most of sample, quality of life in general physical aspect and general quality of life
were in low level ordinary(90.5%)and (61.9%)and for main human activity aspect in mid
level(45.2%),for physical and mental stressor in low level(88.1%and 61.9%),for social aspect in high
level (45.2%),for the problem strategies in low level(54.8%)and the emotional focused strategies were
used(83%). Statistic test between general physical situation and main human activity with occupation,
and quality of life with life expenditure was significant (ordinary P<0.000) p<0.05, P<0.04).
Conclusion: Research findings show that instead of low physical and metal stressor factors, but the
emotion focused strategies is in a high level and general quality of life is in a low level. So that the
most emphasise is on coping strategies for improving quality of life of these patients by giving care for
teaching and supporting.
